Founded in the 1980s as a terrorist organization promoting violence against Americans and U.S. property in Saudi Arabia, Saudi Hizballah was responsible for the 1996 bombing of the Khobar Towers near Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The attack killed 19 U.S. service members and one Saudi citizen, and wounded hundreds of individuals from various nations.
