Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on Muhammad Ahmed al-Munawar, also known as Abdarahman al-Rashid Mansour and Ashraf Naeem Mansour. Al-Munawar, an alleged member of the Abu Nidal Organization terrorist group, is wanted for his role in the September 5, 1986 hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan. After holding 379 passengers and crew hostage for nearly 16 hours, the hijackers began shooting indiscriminately. Twenty people, including two Americans, were killed and more than 100 were injured.
For his role in the hijacking, al-Munawar was indicted by a U.S. federal grand jury and is on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List. Al-Munawar likely resides in the Middle East.
