Jafar is an al-Shabaab facilitator and operational planner, who has served as a deputy to Abdikadir Mohamed Abdikadir, also known as Ikrima. Jafar also serves as al-Shabaab’s chief of explosives and is responsible for attack operations in Mogadishu.
