About

Hurras al-Din (HAD) is an al-Qa’ida-affiliated jihadist group that emerged in Syria in early 2018 after several factions broke away from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).

On September 10, 2019, the U.S. Department of State designated HAD as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist pursuant to Executive Order 13224, as amended. As a result, all of HAD’s property, and interests in property, subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with HAD.
