Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on Aziz Haqqani, also known as Abdul Aziz Haqqani. Aziz is a key leader of the Haqqani Network (HQN), a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), and brother to HQN leader and Taliban deputy leader Sirajuddin Haqqani

Aziz has been involved in planning and carrying out improvised explosive device attacks against Afghan government targets, and assumed responsibility for all major HQN attacks after the death of his brother, Badruddin Haqqani. Aziz has been intimately involved in logistical operations and command decisions in HQN attacks against Afghan and Coalition forces along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border. Furthermore, he has served as the primary HQN conduit for operations in Kabul and high-profile attacks throughout Afghanistan.

On August 25, 2015, the U.S. Department of State designated Aziz Haqqani as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist pursuant to Executive Order 13224, as amended. As a result of this designation, among other consequences, all property and interests in property of Aziz Haqqani that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with Aziz Haqqani. In addition, it is a crime to knowingly provide, or attempt or conspire to provide material support or resources to the FTO HQN.
